The Dorothy Circus Gallery is a gallery in Rome which exposes mainly pop-surrealist works (low brow art).
The Lowbrow Art, also known as the Pop Surrealism is an artistic movement born in the late 70 'in Los Angeles in environments that revolve magazines around the underground comics, punk music and other Californian subcultures: the works are usually figurative subjects, often caricatured and are characterized by strong colors and a pronounced decorativeness.
Dorothy Circus Gallery regularly hosts international artists, but not exclusively, often featuring works by young emerging artists by allowing them to be known by the general public.
addition, the gallery offers the opportunity to visit a curiosity shop of rare publications and author of limited edition toys for lovers of the genre.
The gallery is closed until February 12 to reopen in new premises in Via Pettinari 76 in Rome, on the occasion of the exhibition "Private Collection Carnival

The event will be available February 12 to 20, and who can and will go there seems to assist to something unique that will revolutionize the art scene contemporanea, in uno spazio creato da Alexandra Mazzanti, che darà vita ad un mondo ispirato alla fusione tra New York e il Paese delle Meraviglie.
